Website and App Terms
The rules for using the Estate Advice Group website, portal and mobile application.
Last updated: 24 July 2026. Separate client, advisor, payment and replacement terms may also apply to particular features or transactions.
1. About us and these terms
Estate Advice Group is a trading style of e-Volve Software Services Limited (Company No. 16201309), registered at Dukeries Business Centre, 31-33 Retford Road, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, S80 2PU. These terms apply to the EAG website, account areas, portal, Android application, any iOS application and related services.
By accessing or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
2. Platform role
EAG provides a technology, enquiry, matching and lead marketplace platform. EAG is not a law firm, tax adviser, financial adviser, mortgage adviser, equity-release provider or regulator. Professionals appearing on or using the platform are independent unless expressly stated otherwise.
3. No professional advice from EAG
Website, portal and app content is general information only and is not legal, tax, financial, mortgage, equity-release or regulated advice. Decisions should not be made solely from platform content. Obtain advice from an appropriately qualified and, where required, authorised professional.
4. Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep it updated. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for activity carried out through your account. You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may require verification and may refuse, suspend or close access where reasonably necessary for security, misuse, legal risk, non-payment or breach of terms.
5. Mobile application permissions and notifications
The app may request permissions needed for features such as notifications. Permissions can be managed through the app or device settings, although disabling them may limit functionality. Push delivery is not guaranteed and must not be relied upon as the sole method of receiving time-sensitive information.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not submit false, abusive, unlawful, misleading or unauthorised information.
- Do not access or attempt to access accounts, leads, communications, systems or data without permission.
- Do not scrape, harvest, copy, resell, disclose or misuse leads, personal information or platform content.
- Do not introduce malware, interfere with security, overload the service, probe vulnerabilities or reverse engineer the software except where law expressly permits.
- Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent qualifications, regulatory status, services or authority.
- Do not use the service in a way that infringes rights, breaches confidentiality or violates data protection, marketing, professional or financial-services law.
7. Client enquiries and independent professionals
Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee that a professional will respond, accept instructions or provide a particular outcome. EAG may route or make an enquiry available to one or more suitable professionals according to the service design and the user’s choices. Any engagement, advice or contract with a professional is between the client and that professional.
Users should verify a professional’s identity, qualifications, authorisations, insurance, fees and terms before proceeding. EAG does not guarantee professional availability, suitability, advice quality or outcome.
8. Professional and transaction terms
Professional users may also be bound by our Advisor Terms, and clients by our Client Terms. Credit purchases, lead purchases, refunds and replacement requests are subject to the applicable pricing, checkout information and Refund and Lead Replacement Policy.
9. Communications
We may send service, security, transaction, support and notification messages by app notification, email, SMS or another available channel. Marketing communications will be sent only where legally permitted and can be opted out of using the method provided.
10. Intellectual property
The service, software, branding, designs, copy, databases, workflows and content belong to us or our licensors unless stated otherwise. We grant users a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
11. User content
You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us the rights reasonably required to host, process, display, transmit and use it to operate, secure and improve the service. You must have the right and lawful basis to submit the content and must avoid unnecessary confidential, financial or third-party information.
12. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Account deletion can be requested through the app or our public deletion page.
13. Availability and updates
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may maintain, update, modify, suspend or withdraw features. App updates may be required for security or continued compatibility. Third-party networks, devices and stores are outside our control.
14. Disclaimer and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to that, EAG is not responsible for independent professional advice or conduct, decisions made from general platform content, failure of third-party services, indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, business, opportunity, goodwill or data, or events outside our reasonable control.
Where you use the service for business purposes, our total liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of the amount paid by you to EAG in the preceding 12 months for the feature giving rise to the claim or £100, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. Consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited remain unaffected.
15. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and may request account deletion, subject to lawful retention. We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for breach, security, fraud, non-payment, complaints, legal or regulatory risk, or to protect users and the service. Clauses intended to survive termination will continue to apply.
16. Changes
We may update these terms to reflect service, legal or operational changes. The latest version and date will appear on this page. Material changes may also be notified through the app, portal or email where appropriate. Continued use after an effective change constitutes acceptance where legally permitted.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives a user the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
